16 November Kaunas University of Technology community celebrated International Project Management Day.
During the celebration, project managers whose projects won the “KTU Leopards 2023” award were congratulated. The Science and Innovation Project Centre together with the Project Development Centre established 10 nominations, the winners of which were awarded diplomas and specially designed badges.
This year, the Biomedical Engineering Institute won the year’s “Breakthrough of the Year” nomination – in 2023 the Institute has won 3 international projects: 2 from EU’s funding programme “Horizon Europe” and 1 from EURAMET, the European Association of National Metrology Institutes. The award was presented to the Director of the Institute, Prof. Vaidotas Marozas.

The celebration also included a Project Fair, where the University’s project promoters presented their projects and results at stands. At the fair the Biomedical Engineering Institute presented two of its most successful recent projects: Wearable technology for personalized identification and management of paroxysmal atrial fibrillation triggers – TriggersAF, and a project that is developing the prototype of a dynamic lower jaw movements recorder with occlusive analysis function.
