Important | 2021-09-27

On September 12–15, 2021, PhD students from KTU Biomedical Engineering Institute: Mantas Rinkevičius, Monika Butkuvienė, Birutė Paliakaitė and Ana Santos Rodrigues attended prestigious international biomedical engineering conference “Computing in Cardiology – CinC 2021” (http://www.cinc2021.org/) in Brno, Czech Republic. For the second time, this conference was held in a hybrid format combining in-person and remote participation. Mantas gave a remote oral presentation about his work on “Low-Exertion Testing of Autonomic Cardiovascular Integrity Through PPG Signal Analysis”. Meanwhile Monika, Birutė and Ana traveled to Brno and gave their oral presentations in person: Ana on “A Fast Algorithm for Facilitating Heartbeat Annotation in Long-Term ECG Signals”, Birutė on “Blood Pressure Estimation Based on Photoplethysmography: Finger versus Wrist”, and Monika on “Atrial Fibrillation Episode Patterns and Their Influence on Detection Performance”. It is our pleasure to communicate that Monika’s work has been recognized as semi-finalist of the Rosanna Degani Young Investigator Award. Congratulations!
