KTU hosted the “CVDLink” consortium meeting

Important | 2026-06-13

On 10–11 June, partners of the international project “CVDLink: A Federated Paradigm for the Utilisation of Real-World Data Sources to Support the Diagnosis, Prognosis, and Risk Assessment of Cardiovascular Conditions” gathered at Kaunas University of Technology (KTU), for a consortium meeting coordinated by Vaidotas Marozas, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Institute.

Over two intensive days, project partners reviewed the progress achieved to date, assessed the status of ongoing activities, and participated in thematic workshops focused on the project’s clinical and technological developments. The in-person meeting provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen collaboration, exchange expertise, and jointly address key challenges as the project moves forward.

The main objectives of the meeting were to:

  • review the overall progress of the project;
  • present and discuss the software tools developed within the project;
  • discuss the ongoing clinical studies.

A particular highlight of the meeting was the series of live demonstrations showcasing the project’s software tools.

These sessions enabled partners to evaluate the current solutions, discuss potential improvements, and explore pathways for integrating the developed technologies into a unified system. The meeting served as an important platform for evaluating achievements, aligning future activities, and reinforcing cooperation across the consortium. Discussions also helped define the next steps of the project, with a strong focus on further integration of the developed tools and technologies.
