PhD Rytis Jurkonis, senior researcher at the Institute, participated in the “Artery23” conference in Bonn, Germany. This annual international conference, held this year on 5-7 October, is organized by the Association for Research into Arterial Structure and Physiology. This association promotes knowledge and dissemination of information on the pathophysiology, pharmacology, epidemiology, detection, investigation, and treatment of arterial structure and function.
The aim of the Conference is to provide an opportunity for a broad exchange of knowledge and ideas between scientists and an international community of professionals interested in all aspects of clinical, experimental, and biomechanical research on arterial structure and function. At this conference, R. Jurkonis presented a paper on “Ultrasonic imaging of the origins of photoplethysmography waveforms in the lower wrist tissues”.
